The practice involves breathing techniques that give tactile feedback to the heart and help the nervous system feel safe, resulting in an open and expansive state of being. The practice includes visualizing the connection between the respiratory diaphragm and the heart and acknowledging the heart's vulnerability, which can be incredibly healing.
