Journey with Your Pituitary Gland

Mar 05, 2024

This week’s Embodied Musings we are going inside the head.

Part of my main intention with offering these embodied musings is to support us in being able to be more anchored in our body and less in our ‘head’/lost in thought loops of the past/future.

But we often aren’t actually IN our head, from an embodied standpoint.

This week we are going to play with BEING in our pituitary gland, our master gland.

How to locate your pituitary gland to have a sense of what it’s like to be in your head:

  1. Find the bridge of your nose & then go straight back.
  2. Bring your tongue to the highest part of the roof of your mouth and push up.

Close your eyes as you use these two directions to get a sense of what feels like the area in your head for you of where your pituitary gland would be.

What do you notice?

Breathe freely as you do this.

Continue to play with this on your own. I encourage you to do this practice for at least 3-5 minutes to have longer to feel into this space for yourself.
